The mountain community is mourning after a devastating avalanche on Broad Peak in Pakistan's Karakoram claimed the lives of 10 climbers on July 30, 2026. Broad Peak, standing at 8,051 metres, is the world's 12th highest mountain and one of Pakistan's great mountaineering challenges.
